HISTORYFernando Miguel Lopes Pereira & Irmão, Lda, now also known as FMLP, was founded in Proença-a-Nova, a district of Castelo Branco, in 1982.It is important to note that the FMLP is the product of a corporate transformation of the “sole proprietorship” of the company founder, established in the early 1970s. Since its inception, FMLP has been growing on the basis of its initial activity in ironworking. In 1974, the company diversified its areas of business to include aluminium window frames and later industrial maintenance in the forestry sector. However, over the years, new markets and new opportunities have emerged. The company has always sought to respond positively to these. Today, its scope is broader and more comprehensive. The company’s current activities are: aluminium frame construction, metal construction, iron and stainless-steel works, production of equipment for the automotive components industry, maintenance and industrial installation and other activities of an ancillary and complementary nature. In 2002, a new generation of the family joined the team, injecting new ambition and a different vision into the management of the company. This has led to successive investments in the productive process and in the strengthening of the organizational structure. FMLP has sought over the years to specialize in critical areas of operation, keeping up to date with the latest technologies in the sector. This has invariably ensured high quality standards. Encompassing a wide range of specialized skills in all areas of operation, versatility, quality and productive capacity and innovation have placed it in a prominent position and set it on the road to expansion and growth. Always highly attuned to the needs and opportunities of the global market, the company does not operate solely within the national economy and in 2007 invested in Internationalization. Today, FMLP has put its name to works on more than one continent and in several countries, namely: Angola, São Tomé and Príncipe, Morocco, Tunisia, France, Serbia, Ukraine, Romania, among others. With the entry into new markets, and in order to facilitate trade relations, FMLP felt the need to establish local law companies in some of the countries with the greatest potential. With over 36 years of experience, the incessant search for new techniques and technologies, the selectivity of raw materials and the qualification of human resources to ensure the quality of its performance (link to works carried out on the word performance), which can be corroborated through certificates of implementation. |
